Sales Development

The first thing to know when focusing on your sales development is to know that everybody is selling. It might not be a product or service they are selling, but everyone sells everyday. If somebody wants something from you then they will be selling to you. They will sell you the vision, the need, or the value of buying that sale:

• A doctor is selling you on being healthy.

• A parent is selling you on the value of hard work, being a nice person, being a confident person, or getting an education.

• Howard Stern is selling you on your desire to be entertained.

• Someone interviewing for a job is selling you on what they can provide your company and why you should invest in them.

Now that you see that Sales people are everywhere and that everything follows a sales process, focus on sales development. Look for sales training tips to constantly improve and develop your skills!

I always enjoy having a great sales person sell to me. I love to learn from their selling techniques. I learn their sales strategies and make part of it my own. I love talking to them about their salesmanship to see where they learned it and how they got so good at it.

Unfortunately, I tend to learn more from what poor sales people do and promise myself to never do what I just saw.

Take the time to review some of these topics so you can continue to learn the techniques you need to BECOME YOUR VERY BEST Salesperson.
