How do you view your Personal Growth?

The personal growth that comes with experience will shape your life perspective. This perspective forms your basic thoughts, beliefs, and actions in situations.

An easy way to illustrate this is to ask you the age old question "How full is this glass?". Imagine you are looking at a 16 ounce glass that has 8 ounces of water in it. How do you answer the question?

If your life perspective tends to be more pessimistic, your answer is half empty.

If your life perspective tends to be more optimistic, your answer is half full.

However, there is another answer that people never give. Before I give that answer, let me ask you a few other questions.

1. How full of water is the glass?

2. What other matter is the glass filled with?

3. Now listen to the question carefully. How full is the glass?

Did your answer change? The answer is the glass is 100% FULL. As you can see, this glass is full with water and air. And if you blow on it, it is overflowing!

When I tell this story to people, 90% plus of the people change their answers. The reason is that you changed your view.

This question that you have answered the same way for years, now you have a different answer because of a new point of view. This is a new perspective! You now have the ability to see what others do not see.

Use this simple mind change as an example that personal growth comes with small steps. Challenge yourself to think of a new answer to a question you hear everyday. Never stop thinking! You need to be creative, daring, and bold to BECOME YOUR VERY BEST!
